Electricity, paint and visitors

Well we have countertops and backsplashes in our kitchen. We moved more rocks today as well, but no pictures of that. Anyone have any idea what the spots are in the one or two pictures. I checked the lense and it appears to be clean.

We have our first layer of paint. You will also notice that they put shelving and cabinets in. It was fun to watch them paint the house, but that may have just been the fumes.

We also have walls coming up. Finally looks like a real house on the inside. Busy week. We went out several times to ensure everything was ready before sheetrock.

Stone

They have started the masonry work. Let us know your thoughts on the colors. I was not sure when we picked them, but I think the brick accent looks nice and is definately better than the shutters they had.

Insulation

We now have insulation. They still have a few things to fix prior to sheetrock, but things are now coming along fast again. They claim they may be done by May (too fast), but we will see. I also included some pictures of the beautiful weather a few days ago as compared to the ugly fog of today.

Wiring

We are put in the wiring for the house this weekend. 30+ telephone/ethernet wires and at least 20 or so coaxial cables. We also finished off the attic space in the garage and walkthrough all of the electrical work. We are getting closer to insulation and sheetrock, but first we have a few things to clean up. More to come in a couple of weeks.

Here are the people we hired to clear the land. Amazingly enough we (two accountants) weren't able to do it on our own. We did get several people to come out and make bids on the job and this guy was the best all around. He did a great job!
